Use the Next Unique Button

How do I set a default header and footer that can be applied to any sheet with a tool bar button?
 
To set your default Header and Footer:
First create the header and footer you want to use with the a sheet you select.  Once that is ready, use the Options… command and then selecting Set Header / Footer tab.  This will allow you to 'set' the default header and footer using the current sheet as the model.

How do I apply a pre-defined header and footer to a sheet?
 
Use the Set Header / Footer button to apply your pre-defined header and footer.

How do I show or display a list all sheets so I can jump to or select the one I want?
 Use the Jump to Sheet button to list all sheets and select the one you want to view.
How do I hide or unhide a sheet from a list of all sheets?
 Use the Jump to Sheet button to list all sheets and then press the hide or unhide button.  To unhide a sheet, make sure the Include Hidden Sheets check box is selected.

How do I remove trailing blanks? How do I remove leading blanks?
There is no command to remove only blanks from the front of a cell, only one to remove all leading and trailing blanks (see Trim Range)

How do I remove (trim) all leading and trailing blanks?
 Use the Trim Range Button to remove all spaces at the front and back of each cell.

 Use the Paste Date Button

How can I format all formula cells so they are easy to spot?
Use the Format Formula Format Formulas command. This will set the formatting for each cell that has a formula based on the default format or a format you set using the Options… command and then selecting Formula Formatting tab.
